Most of our students start with us as complete beginners. The first lesson is always in a quiet residential street — clutch, brake, mirror discipline, and getting comfortable with the size of the car. By lesson 5 most learners are confidently handling roundabouts and 60 km/h zones; by lesson 10 they're test-ready on local routes.

Learner Driving Lessons — common questions
- Most learners need 10–20 hours of professional lessons on top of supervised driving. We give an honest assessment after lesson 2 about how much further you have to go.
- Unfortunately no — your learner permit must be valid at every lesson. If you're getting close to your test date and don't have the permit yet, ask us about logbook practice options once you have it.
- About half our learners are. Lessons 1–2 are in quiet streets only — no main roads — and your instructor's job is to keep you calm and in control. Pace stays where you're comfortable.
- We don't recommend it for the first few lessons — too many voices in the car is distracting. After lesson 4 we're happy to have a parent join occasionally to see your progression.
